Zuhair Malibari, a distinguished Saudi artist and art educator based in Makkah, has profoundly impacted the Saudi art scene through decades of experience in teaching, training, and creative innovation. His influence extends through various cultural activities and memberships in key organizations, such as Okaz Press and the Arab Society for Arts and Culture in Jeddah.
Malibari is recognized as the founder of the concept “Between Automatic and Intentional” which introduced new artistic techniques. This approach uniquely combines raw environmental materials with modern educational methodologies. His dedication to education is evident in his extensive work training numerous art teachers in Makkah and conducting research on modern art education methodologies.
His artistic journey started in 1978, Malibari has accumulated a wide range of exhibition experience, participating in over 40 local and international shows, including in Egypt, Argentina, and Taiwan. He has also showcased his unique artistic vision, which blends Saudi heritage with contemporary creativity, in multiple solo exhibitions held in Makkah and Jeddah.
